Profile Property Solutions is a company focusing on property sales and rentals for the industrial, commercial and retail sectors.

First established by Garth Ware in KwaZulu Natal's capital Pietermaritzburg in 2003, Profile Property Solutions responded to a need for specialised property brokerage.

As the business expanded, a second branch was opened in Hillcrest in 2012 in order to better service the Upper and Lower Highway areas. These branch locations enable Profile Property Solutions to service clients across the country with property requirements in KZN from the coast to the interior.

Some facts about Pietermaritzburg

• Known as the City of Flowers, Pietermaritzburg was founded in 1838 as the capital of the short-lived Voortrekker Republic of Natal, and is named after the Boer leaders Piet Retief and Gert Maritz.
• It became capital of Natal when the British annexed the province in 1843.
• It offers some of the world’s best-preserved examples of Victorian and Edwardian architecture.
• Its museums and historical buildings include the Tatham Art Gallery, which houses one of the country’s leading art collections with works by contemporary South African artists as well as masters such as Picasso, Degas, Renoir and Matisse.
• The city is the starting point for the internationally renowned Comrades marathon ‘down race’ to Durban.

 

Some facts about the Highway Area

• The Highway Area encompasses Hillcrest, Kloof, Gillits, Botha's Hill and other areas to make up the Upper Highway area and Pinetown and Westville to make the Lower Highway Area
• The N3 highway runs through these areas, as does the M13 highway which directly links all these small areas together.
• Pinetown was established in 1850 and was named after Sir Benjamin Pine.
• "Westmead" was Pinetown's motorsport racetrack in the 1960's but later became the Westmead Industrial Park as the small industrial town grew.
• Hillcrest was founded in 1895 and was owned by William Gillit, after whom the suburb Gillits is named.
• In the last ten years or so, Hillcrest has become a major commercial centre with many new lifestyle and shopping centres being built.
